What is it?
Designed as a replacement for SWIFT payments, Ripple works as a trusted agent between two parties for financial transactions. Although Ripple can be used to handle exchanges for fiat currencies and even cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, it has its own native cryptocurrency: XRP.
Why trade it?
As a coin aimed at mainstream financial institutions, XRP is popular with thematic investors and day traders. It also has significant traction as a general crypto – it’s a firm top-five coin.
